The Origins Retreats are designed to give people a safe space to come together and explore new ideas around movement, self-development, and spirituality. I was brought along to document the trip for future marketing efforts so I was responsible for both photo and video. I will update this post with a video once it is finished.
We spent a week deep in the jungles of the Dominican Republic. Every morning began with a mile bike ride to the nearby beach where we all meditated and moved together. In the evenings we gathered again for another meditation and some intense breathe work sessions that invoked the release of pent up emotions or trauma. The trip revolved around digging up these emotions and learning to work through them better so that we may live fuller and more intentional lives upon returning home.
I had an absolute blast photographing this and was able to work on myself as well. Can’t wait for the next one!
